As we enter the first quarter of 2024, there are positive signs of improvement in the residential development land market compared to the previous year. Despite ongoing downward pressures, there is a noticeable increase in sentiment, especially in certain locations and types of sites. Many investors are cautiously re-entering the market, thanks to improving sales rates for new homes, a slowdown in build cost inflation, and a more stable housing market overall. These factors have contributed to a rise in activity, although the demand for land remains diverse and the process of selling sites is taking longer than before. Learn more:
