Day 1 of Revolution.Aero 2024 is a wrap! Sharing some thoughts about the eventful day, with panels that encompassed challenges of growing new mobility markets to the economics of air taxis to understanding the future potential of #autonomy: 1. Expectations Seasoned with a Healthy Sprinkle of Reality: A step-wise approach to the evolution of Advanced Air Mobility is more attractive than revolution. 3x the number of attendees surveyed said an EVOLUTIONARY approach is more important than a REVOLUTINOARY approach. Economics, safety, and certification are critical concerns. There is tension between VCs and investors drawn to the revolutionary and the need to move forward in a rapid but evolutionary pace. 2. Top and Bottom Line Economics Matter: Whether for eVTOL air taxi service or supersonic flight to new companies and working with Primes, profitability has to be the long-term goal to drive value for everyone in the food chain. 3. There's More Focus on the Aircraft: The mission of course still matters, but the right aircraft and its core technologies including automation matter. That's important for our CEO Matthew GRACZYK. 4. Operators/Customers Know Best: OEMs need to work closely with customers because they know more about potential use cases and how new aircraft technology can be leveraged profitably. 5. Certification Is an Important Process - Not a Hurdle!: Now is the time to think about long-term issues to solve. Close collaboration and transparency between OEMs and regulatory bodies can boost efficiency, and help the industry achieve its transformative goals without sacrificing safety. 6. Path to Realizing Value: Hiring for key core competencies, making a great strategic plan plan, iterating as fast as possible, and moving quickly before a matured market makes the going tough are important paths to success. #pterodynamics #Transwing #drones

WE NEED EDUCATION HOW TO USE THE FUTURE ....before we bring it into our homes. Isn't it interesting, that those innovations are as exciting, as they are horrific, and for some reason the terror they can provide never really gets prevented. When I go into nature these days, drones fly everywhere, polluting the sounds of nature, the serenity, the open skies, the solitude, the peace. And what for: another insignificant film for the socials? Another fun activity, since all the other activities become lame so fast? Not speaking of what it means for war. I remember when they said drones will never be armed.... As much as I love a great innovation and flying is a dream come true, nevertheless, what will we do with it, what will we allow for this technology to bring us, vs. what will it take away from our last resorts of freedom? Will it come with an education, that teaches people to use it wisely and in alignment with others, their needs and values? Or will we need yet another set of regulations and penalties for non-compliance? And yes, I know this is also part of evolution, but into what direction?! Will we adapt to what it is we really need, in order not to be limited by what it is we thought to bring expansion with? I wonder.

Introducing the shape-like dragonfly aircraft, the first foray into aerial mobility for Cadillac, an eVOL concept by General Motors. This single-seater, all-electric vehicle features a 90-kW electric motor to power four rotors for vertical takeoff and landing, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 56 mph. The eVOL can cover short trips of 10-20 miles on a single charge and was designed to let you fly silently over terrestrial traffic. Built on GM's Ultium battery platform, the eVOL measures 8.5 feet in length, 8.2 feet in width, and 4.4 feet in height, with a total weight of 1,500 pounds. It brings efficiency, sustainability, and futuristic design to urban air mobility, shaping the way for the future of transportation.
