Here’s our survey of the latest developments! 📄 A policy brief developed by Christoph Nedopil and Jing Zhang from The Griffith Asia Institute evaluates Australia’s 2024 green energy-related policies and their potential impacts on Asia. Among other impacts, the brief highlights that Australia’s commitment to expanding renewable energy capacity is set to increase investment opportunities in wind and solar power projects. 🧪 BRIN has partnered with PT. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞❗     ☀️ The Prime Minister announced the billion dollar Solar SunShot manufacturing program, which will provide subsidies and grants to establish Australia’s position in the solar supply chain and leverage strengths in critical minerals. By deepening the industrial base in regional Australia, Initiatives like Solar SunShot aim to ensure that areas that have long powered the country continue to prosper in the net zero economy.  🔋 A newly published article entitled, ‘An EV-fix for Indonesia: the green development nexus’ by Wijaya and Sinclair, explores the nexus of green development and resource management within Indonesia’s energy sector. 🔔 The upcoming 2024 Australia-Indonesia Business Council National Conference is scheduled to take place in Sydney from November 11th to 13th, under the theme "Invested Australia/Indonesia: The Time is Now/Sekarang Waktunya." The agenda will feature discussions on various key industry sectors, including Healthcare, Education and Skills, Clean Energy, and the Digital Economy.     📚 The Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has highlighted environmental change as a significant concern. Dear readers, We invite you to read the paper: "The orchestration of dynamic capabilities in cleantech companies" Authors: Matheus Eurico Soares de Noronha, Diandra Maynne Ferraro, Leonardo Reis Longo, Scarlet Simonato Melvin This article presents a model for the orchestration of dynamic capabilities (ODCs) in cleantech companies to gain a competitive advantage. Through a qualitative multiple case study with 12 cleantech firms, the research highlights the presence of ODCs in the product/process cycle, leading to new capabilities and sustainable competitive advantage. The study contributes to the literature by providing evidence of ODCs in highly dynamic, technology-intensive environments. It also demonstrates how cleantech companies renew competencies to maintain their competitive edge. The ODC model emphasizes innovation, asset specificity, and the ability to navigate regulatory environments for sustainable advantage.
