Between 2022 and 2023, paramedics from Ambulance Victoria attended over one million incidents. A staggering 95% of patients rated their care as ‘good’ or ‘very good’. When I learned about this I got curious. How do they achieve such remarkable results? To find out, I teamed up with my uncle, Nick Roder - an experienced Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) paramedic. Together we explored what organisations can learn from paramedics about teamwork, collaboration and leadership.
