The podcast highlights my recent work in net-zero energy home building, including some of my favorite topics from climate-resilient home design to heat pump technology and affordable housing. “A lot of people define “sustainable development” in different ways, but for me the top five major elements I plan to address in building sustainable homes are: 1) 100% Electric (no fossil fuels) 2) Net-Zero Energy (solar+battery powered), 3) Affordability, 4) Climate/Wildfire Resiliency, and 5) Infill Locations (not sprawl). Using low-carbon building materials during construction is another important component that I plan to incorporate to the extent feasible while balancing construction costs.
