There is a lot to consider: ✔Compliance ✔Chains and cables vs. slings. What's the difference? Are you using the right tool for the job? ✔Annual inspections ✔Before use inspections ✔Tracking & Control ✔Communication & OOS ✔Selection ✔Storage ✔General Safety We can also provide a GAP Analysis to help your organization be sure that you are using the correct lifting equipment for your specific job functions. We come from the field & shop floor with a combined 60+ years in Manufacturing, Construction, Oil & Gas and Environmental experience. We understand what your employees need to safely succeed.

Construction job sites are often chaotic and confusing with multiple trades and employers working at the same time. It's very common for general contractors and trade subcontractors, such as electricians, iron workers, masons, and carpenters to all be working on various aspects of a project simultaneously, creating a higher likelihood for accidents to happen. Compliance Consultants, Inc. has many clients who fall into the multi-employer category and we have the expertise to assist you with the many aspects of this important OSHA policy. Hot Work Permit: When work permits are required, the purpose of the hot work permit process is to control work activities that may produce enough energy to ignite flammable atmospheres or combustible materials. Examples of hot work include: • Open flames, welding, or torch cutting • Using spark producing tools or equipment • Abrasive blasting • Running internal combustion engines • Work on, or in close proximity to, live electrical apparatus • Energized electrical devices not rated for the electrical classification of the area “Minimum Safety Rules (Saudi Aramco)”

I have been inspecting scaffolds for 10+ years. Started off inspecting Offshore - in the North Sea on the Conoco Phillips platform; The Judy for Stork believe it or not, working under Richard “Richie” Stilgrove (RIP). And in those years since I have inspected jobs all over the UK. Hundreds and hundreds (maybe thousands) of inspections completed. And I have to say that standards are getting progressively worse. I don’t know why… is it cost? Is it lack of skills? / experience? Is it lack of pride? (I made a post about taking pride in our trade - or lack thereof a few months ago, coincidentally…) One of the regular issues I notice, even just driving about is the lack of Advanced Handrails. Otherwise known as a “Scaffolders Safe-Zone”. Why is this being constantly omitted from maybe 50% of all the scaffolds I see? It’s ONE EXTRA RAIL (with fittings to fix) per Lift… It’s also part of the Working at Height regulations 2005. Health and Safety Law. (https://lnkd.in/gigZCcHw) Scaffolders, Scaffold Companies AND Principal Contractors are all responsible for following Health and Safety Law, by way of mitigating the risk of a fall from height. And under NASC guidance, SG4:22 “Preventing Falls in Scaffolding Operations” It’s required on every scaffold. Theres NASC “best practice” TG and SG guidance available, for free all over the internet, if you didn’t want to pay for the official NASC guidance. Just a few clicks and there’s literally hours of material to read and watch. A very easy fix that could save a scaffolders life. (And seeing as we recently had a scaffolder fall in Hastings last week, more needs to be done across the board to make scaffolding safe) Let’s start a hashtag. #MakeScaffoldingSafeAgain #MSSA Conversations and opinions are welcome. And Ultra Access can assist if required. Let’s also get some discussions going! #ultra #access #ultraaccess #scaffold #scaffolding #SISAR #survey #inspection #safety #audit #report #PASSAC #preliminary #compliance #estimating #estimation #SCAFFCALC #specialist #jasongibbs #consultation #LinkedIn #LinkedInDoYourThing #construction #health #workingatheight #HSE #HASAW #algorithm #interaction #comment #share #like #discussion #open #openforum #MakeScaffoldingSafeAgain #MSSA #NASC #CISRS #CITB #standards #handrails #CPD #ithastobenasc

Our job sites tend to have line ups with lots of large equipment and tons of foot traffic with operators, mechanics, laborers, grade checkers and foreman sharing the same space. Independent Construction Co. is proactive in maintaining a safe line up area where both man and machine can co-exist in a safe manor. We discuss where and how each type of equipment should be parked, the steps an operator should take before operating any piece of equipment, and any type of hazards that may come up and how to avoid them. A safe line up means we are keeping the conversation going and everyone is doing their part, every single day! #constructionsafetyweek #lineupsafety #indycc #independentconstruction

Safety over job progress, safety over job progress, safety over job progress... Have we said it enough yet? The answer will always be no to that question as we believe safety always comes first in all situations. Getting the job done is important, but being confident in knowing that everyone is working safely is way more pressing. We are always here and ready to help put a focus on safety and understanding with regard to the suspended scaffolding on your project! #DoriaInc
