Hello everyone, When building a new development team, the natural tendency is to focus on immediate technological challenges—implementing ideas, developing the product, and proving its feasibility. But there's a critical component that doesn’t always get the attention it deserves in the early stages—New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Starting the NPI process as early as the initial stages of building the development team helps ensure that the product we’re developing not only meets the technological requirements but can also be produced efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively. Involving NPI experts early in the development phase helps identify potential manufacturing challenges and prevent costly surprises down the line. A well-planned transition to production is key to reducing time to market, lowering costs, and improving quality. Additionally, this process creates a shared language between the development and manufacturing teams, ensuring a smooth handover between stages. 📌 NEWS | EMA Quarterly System Demo Q1   💣 Exciting news!!!    ↪ European Medicines Agency will replace #xEVMPD by #ISOIDMP shortly, and the #PMS (Product Management Service) will enable the implementation of #ISO IDMP.   ↪ During the last EMA Quarterly System Demo that was held last week, new PMS highlights were shared:   ● xEVMPD to PMS Data Migration: The #datamigration from #xEVMPD to #PMS will occur from April 11th to 16th. This migration will result in a temporary service interruption affecting several #EMA systems, such as #eAFs, #CTIS, #SPOR, etc. ● PMS Go-live: By the end of May 2024, the User Interface (#UI) and the #API will go-live in the production environment.  ● User roles integration: The 3 PMS access roles will be available soon to be requested trough the EMA Account Management.   ℹ Further information will be provided on the PMS Info-Day, which will be held on April 16th. This journey has been an eye-opener, highlighting the intricate aspects that drive pharmaceutical success. A key learning was the pivotal role of intellectual property in crafting robust business cases. IP isn't just a legal shield; it's a cornerstone for commercial success. However, it's not the sole factor—successful drugs require a symphony of elements working in harmony. Through this course, I have gained a comprehensive understanding and the strategic tools needed to better tackle complex challenges in the pharmaceutical industry.
