Great leaders and performers don’t shy away from coaching—they seek it out. As Mike Tomlin says, "I don’t run away from coaching, I run to it." A coach's primary responsibility is to help others learn, grow, and improve. By embracing feedback and providing guidance, we empower our teams to reach their full potential. Coaching isn’t just about correcting mistakes; it’s about fostering an environment where everyone can thrive and continuously evolve. Hiring solutions for tech founders, business and teams. Fixed cost, unlimited hires, flexible contract | Host of the byProduct Live podcast: unboxing everything SaaS and product
For our latest episode of byProduct Live I talked with Rhiannon White, CPO at Clue. Rhiannon previously held leadership roles at Shazam and the BBC.
Our talk focusses on the journey Rhiannon has been on to becoming an effective product leader. We discuss the challenges and mistakes she made early in her career, and the lightbulb moment that changed everything for her.
In the chat I was struck by the authentic way Rhiannon talks about her experiences, and in particular the vulnerability around the challenges she faced early in her career. I think everyone working in product will have found some of the challenges she did.
The one really is a must listen.

Welcome to Episode 6 of "Leading4Value," hosted by Ken Rethmeier, DrPH. In this episode, Ken builds on his own professional journey that has equipped him with a rich reservoir of experiences on leadership. One of his own key learnings from his own journey is that as a leader one needs to be open and welcome the opportunity to be open to challenges, constantly seek learning opportunities and step outside their comfort zones. As a result, he underlines the significance and importance of a leader's role to seek every day to deliver meaningful results and the transformative power of using field tested models and tools as part of one's resources for success.
As a result, this podcast Episode 6 aims to offer an alternative approach to the concept of "Force Field" analysis presented in Episode 5 to work with Current Reality to optimize the value and benefits of a powerful organizational/company Vision for you the audience for this podcast. Another objective is to inspire new ways of leading and guiding teams towards achieving extraordinary organizational performance. In addition, Ken underscores how he has used this very same model and tools to achieve his own successes during his own leadership journey.
Now, having said that, at the close Ken offers the audience a rather unique challenge that helps to highlight the fact that all too often when trying to respond and resolve the challenges we face, but fail to see the obvious potential solution. Stand by! You might find this short exercise a very useful tool to use in your own organization/company!!
Finally and most importantly, Ken invites everyone to enjoy the journey of exploration and learning! Remember, half of the enjoyment of the journey is seeing old situations in new ways for very successful outcomes!
