Journalism is facing ongoing challenges. Newsrooms are shrinking, outlets are increasingly reliant on advertising, readers are turning to new sources (which aren't necessarily reliable forms of information), and it puts new pressures on media relations pros.
We have to be smart. We have to be thoughtful. We have to be fast. Moreover, we have to present the story, the data, the unique angle more than ever before to cut through the clutter and not waste any more of journalists' precious time. Sometimes, despite all of this, we still fail. After all, the world is changing.
