The Changemakers at ChangeNOW In the course of my work, I meet a lot of changemakers who pour their hearts and money into making the world a better place. However, a few leave an impression with their creativity, commitment, concepts, and consciousness. At the recently concluded ChangeNOW event in Paris, four changemakers left a lasting impression on me. ID Genève Watches makes watches from 100% recycled stainless steel collected in Jura, straps made with 100% green waste from London Parks, and home compostable mushroom packaging, all with complete traceability. Nicolas Freudiger, CEO and Co-founder wants to show us the value of every minute and hour of a non-extractive present. Seems like Leonardo DiCaprio sees a future for this watch. Would you? Paper / on the Rocks | B corp makes the smoothest textured paper from construction rubble and other stone and agricultural waste - I can vouch for it. Besides, Anne Pleun van Eijsden now has an impressive set of corporate clients since I last interacted with her team at ChangeNow 2023. Go ahead and try the products for your marketing materials and giveaways – you are bound to leave a rock solid impression on your client. BLUE TEMPLE founded by @Raphael Ascoli and funded by @MIT Solve is a Bamboo Architecture Studio that is trying to solve the housing problem of displaced communities. The company is currently building houses in Myanmar for local communities and is open to collaborating with like-minded organizations to make a greater impact across the globe. Know any changemaker wanting to solve the same problem? Artist and Mycelium Designer Côme Di Meglio had a dome at the event, made from mycelium, delivering a sensorial experience through vibrations captured in the form of sound. Myceliums are fungi that grow underground like data networks to help trees and plants communicate within their ecosystem. Myco Temple in Marseille has a permanent structure in case you want a similar sensorial experience. I hope you feel the positive vibrations I received from these changemakers. Together, we can become conscious consumers, build stronger communities, and be the change that we want to see in this world. Alex Bulat- van den Wildenberg
