If you haven’t banned the use of ChatGPT and other generative AI in your organisation, you should implement a policy and processes that address the privacy risks associated with it: 👉 Start with a Privacy Impact Assessment 👉 Update your internal policies to outline how the platform can be used and the dangers associated with it. 👉 Limit access to personal and sensitive data across your organisation. 👉 Regularly review how the platform is used. 👉 Train your team. As technologies like ChatGPT develop, your team will remain one of your biggest privacy and security risks. You should arrange regular training. I think AI is amazing technology that could indeed transform the way we work. The problem is going into AI without understanding the maintenance implications. It's another piece of infrastructure you have to deal with, even more tedious if you decide to develop a custom model. This is amplified if you have existing infrastructure complexity such as large scale container deployments. Security is also another aspect that I don't think will sort out for awhile. This includes model glitches / corruption (something we've seen recently with ChatGPT) and prompt engineer attacks (asking a customer support AI for another user's password for example). It's also not something I've seen covered specifically by current compliance standards. Tread carefully.
