Building on this argument, it is clear that Universities must focus on Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary curricula. In an age where AI can perform complex calculations and store vast amounts of information, human skills such as creativity and critical thinking become even more crucial. Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies offer students new perspectives and a broader understanding of subjects, fostering these essential skills. An interdisciplinary approach helps students to be more observant and analytical, enhancing their critical thinking. This is particularly important when assessing the immense volume of information managed by AI, as critical thinking transforms raw data into meaningful knowledge. Creativity, on the other hand, is essential for devising innovative solutions and applications for this knowledge, especially in ways that benefit society and promote sustainability. Therefore, integrating interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary curricula is vital in preserving and enhancing creativity and critical thinking. This educational approach equips students to navigate and excel in a technology-driven world, ensuring that these uniquely human abilities remain at the forefront of progress and development. The The Royal Society is a Fellowship of many of the world's most eminent scientists and is the oldest scientific academy in continuous existence. In a new report they are deep-diving into Science in the age of AI, setting out to explore how AI is transforming the methods and nature of scientific research. The unprecedented speed and scale of progress with artificial intelligence (AI) in recent years suggest society may be living through an inflection point. With the growing availability of large datasets, new algorithmic techniques, and increased computing power, AI is becoming an established tool used by researchers across scientific fields who seek novel solutions to age-old problems. Now more than ever, we need to understand the extent of the transformative impact of AI on science and what scientific communities need to do to fully harness its benefits. Because AI research tools could also undermine trust, make scientific findings less reliable, and limit their usefulness in solving real world challenges . As such, the report explores how AI technologies, such as deep learning or large language models, are transforming the nature and methods of scientific inquiry. It also explores how notions of research integrity, research skills, and research ethics are inevitably changing, and what the implications are for the future of science and scientists.
