The esports ecosystem in India faces significant challenges that have led to instability, as seen recently with Global Esports shutting down their BGMI operations while continuing with Valorant and CSGO. This raises the question—why BGMI? Organizations like Fnatic, TSM, Entity, and OR Esports have also exited the Indian market, leaving behind only a few organizations such as S8UL and Godlike Esports. This exodus points to deeper, underlying issues. In contrast to countries like the United States, Brazil, and China, where the esports ecosystem is well-defined with stable salaries, a non-toxic culture, and strict anti-hacking regulations, the Indian scene struggles with multiple setbacks. Teams that have won back-to-back trophies are still forced to collaborate with other organizations for profitability. There's an illusion of luxury, fame, and wealth, but behind the scenes, the reality is starkly different. Organizations face huge losses, players underperform, and there's a culture of poaching, which further destabilizes the market. The root causes of these issues must be addressed urgently, or more organizations will shut down their operations. My current project is designed to bring stability to the Indian esports ecosystem and ensure its long-term growth and sustainability. Stay tuned for more updates. #IndianEsports #EsportsEcosystem #StabilizingEsports #FutureOfGaming

Since 2019, the Indian esports scene has grown at an incredible pace, with numerous organizations entering the industry to capitalize on its potential. Over time, however, we’ve seen only a handful of these organizations achieve significant success. Now, a trend of consolidation is emerging, where the bigger players are acquiring smaller ones. This brings me to an intriguing thought: by 2030, what if we end up with just 1-2 dominant esports organizations in India? Would this consolidation benefit the industry by creating stability, better resources, and larger opportunities for players and fans? While consolidation might streamline the ecosystem and attract more investments, the lack of competition could lead to monopolistic practices, making it harder for new players to break into the scene. As someone invested in gaming and esports, I believe this is a crucial topic to reflect on as we envision the future of Indian esports. What do you think? Will consolidation lead to growth or domination? #Esports #Gaming #IndiaEsports #IndustryInsights
