They soon realized this approach was flawed because almost no one actually fit the "average" measurements. This led to the important realization that designing for the average often means designing for no one. " THIS FACT HIGHLIGHTS HOW STATISTICS CAN SOMETIMES LEAD TO UNEXPECTED OR IMPRACTICAL RESULTS WHEN MISAPPLIED " 1. Lt. Gilbert S. Daniels' Study: Conducted in the 1950s, measured various body dimensions of Air Force pilots. 2.Discovery: Found that none of the pilots had average dimensions across all measurements. 3.Impact: Highlighted the need for designing adjustable equipment to accommodate a wide range of body sizes.
