Tl;dr Goodbye Google! Today marks my official last day at Google after 11+ years. I’ve been lucky to have a career filled with truly incredible mentors, peers and lifelong friends, and that was certainly true of the ones I made at Google. A big transition is always a moment that causes you to pause, reflecting on the experiences that stretched you. Here are some of mine: 🌊 The importance of staying 'uncomfortably excited', and maintaining constant growth 🤝 The quality of the performance is about the alignment of players and how well they come together for the game; something I experienced time and again during my years at Google 🪄 Change is constant and the ability to remain flexible is a must; embrace change!  With this in mind, my next step will be to bring my experience and insight to resolve seemingly obstinate problems for other businesses. More on that to come, but for now a big thank you to my fellow Googlers, partners & clients, both past and present, for being a large part of my life over the past decade+. It’s been an honour to grow alongside you. I completed 6 years in Google yesterday. Time really does fly.. It's been an honor to have contributed to various products in the company (Google Cloud, Google Assistant and finally Bard/Gemini) and to have been part of many diverse teams across locations spanning three different continents. It's been quite a journey of exploration and trying out new things - from working on product/feature development projects, to working on infra projects, to working on improving Natural Language Understanding in Google Assistant, and finally to working closer to research to make Gemini a great large language model. I'm very grateful to the handful of people who took a chance on me and trusted me with responsibilities in these last 6 years. I've been fortunate enough to find some truly amazing mentors in my Google career so far (you know who you are), who helped me grow not just technically, but also taught me how to navigate the chaos of dealing with difficult situations at work. And finally, I'm proud of myself to have been able to identify those silent knocks of opportunities when they did arrive and to have been able to take a leap of faith and trust myself to take on new challenges. As I look forward to some really big life changes ahead of me, there's only one thing I want to promise myself - to have the courage to keep taking chances and trust my instincts, and everything will fall into place :) I clicked this picture on a now-very-distant business trip to Mountain View back in Feb 2020. This board was kept in an unnoticed corner of our team area, and I remember staring at it long and hard. No wonder the quote stuck with me. I just realized that I never got a chance to inform my LinkedIn connections about my career over the past year. TL;DR: I joined Google! I still remember my first day at Google —walking through the doors with a mix of excitement and curiosity. Like every other Noogler, I have heard a lot about the company and now it was time for me to experience it first hand. It was a dream come true, and I was eager to learn, grow, and make an impact. Fast forward to today, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. From overcoming challenges, leading initiatives, collaborating with talented teams, and constantly pushing the boundaries, this journey has been nothing short of transformative. Now, I have officially left the Noogler behind and have become a Googler in true sense!
