Why brands shouldn't just hire an agency you've worked with before... We know… We know… This may be an unpopular opinion, but hear us out. Both brands and agencies should be focused on making sure the relationship is the right fit for your current organization. Before entering into any long term committed relationship (especially one that involves a great deal of time, money and energy), both brands and agencies should make sure that this is the right fit for all parties. Here's why: -Your business needs at your new company are likely different than the business needs of your previous company. -Your agency team may likely not be the same team you worked with previously. -Your current budget, scope, needs, etc. are likely different than they were previously. The cost of getting this relationship wrong is too significant for both brands and agencies. Doing a thorough vetting process allows for the insights needed across teams to make this big decision. Even if prior relationships exist, making sure that this scope (at this current moment) is the right fit is worth it. And, doing an RFP will help with adoption of the new agency across the marketing organization, as the team will be invested in the relationship built with the agency rather than being told they must work with a new partner. #agencyRFP #marketingandadvertising #advertisingagency Ad Age ADWEEK 4A's

🤔 Thinking about an agency search? AAR Partners has successfully been managing reviews for marketers and forging enduring partnerships for 44 years… 💥 We know what sounds like a simple little matchmaking process can easily turn into a complex, expensive and time-consuming ordeal. Here are a few reasons why an agency search is often more complicated than it seems… 👇🏻 1. Diverse Expertise: Agencies often specialize in various niches—digital marketing, public relations, content creation, and more. Identifying the right blend of skills to meet your specific needs can be challenging. 2. Cultural Fit: Beyond skills, the agency's culture must align with your brand's values. A misalignment can lead to friction and ineffective collaboration. 3. Evolving Landscape: The agency landscape is constantly changing, with new technologies and trends emerging regularly. Finding an agency that stays ahead of the curve is essential but can be tricky. 4. Client Relationships: Every agency has a portfolio of clients. Understanding their client relationships and how they manage them can be critical to ensuring they will prioritize your needs. 5. Budget Considerations: Balancing quality and cost is a perennial challenge. The cheapest option may not deliver the results you want, while top-tier agencies may stretch your budget thin. 6. Measuring Success: Different agencies have various metrics for success. Ensuring they align with your goals from the outset is crucial for a fruitful partnership. 📓 As you embark on this journey, take the time to clarify your objectives, conduct thorough research, and consider speaking confidentially with AAR Partners before embarking on an agency search. 🔍 Take a peak at what our recent clients from Chamberlain Group have said about our team at AAR Partners who managed their agency search swiftly and successfully. 🙏 Thanks again, Gina Hardy and Mark Andeer for trusting Kim Hunt and me with your agency search! #Marketing #Communications #AgencySearch #BusinessStrategy #Marketers #Brands CMO Council Association of National Advertisers American Marketing Association

I wanted to share a quick story with you that perfectly illustrates the importance of values, missions, and ethos in making purchasing decisions—whether it's for something personal or professional. As someone who stands at 5' 10", finding the right trousers has always been a bit of a challenge. Opting for "long" or "tall" often prevents me with wearing trousers that resemble peddle pushers—a look I haven't sported since the late 90s! Recently, I came across a brand called Lucy and Yak. They offer dungarees for all heights, shapes, and sizes, ensuring a perfect fit for everyone. But what really stood out to me was their commitment to sustainability, ethical manufacturing, and inclusive sizing. Their values and mission align perfectly with what I look for when making a purchase. This got me thinking about our own partnerships and the criteria we prioritise. I'm interested, when choosing a PPC agency, how important are their values, mission, and ethos to you? Are these factors as crucial to you as their technical expertise and track record? Our mission is centered on: - Transparency - Honesty - Clear and concise communication of risk versus reward Do you prioritise alignment in values when selecting a PPC agency, or do you focus solely on performance metrics and results?

Working with a marketing agency can be invaluable in boosting your brand, increasing sales and helping your brand stand out in the crowd. But how do you know if you're getting the most from your agency?
