Two points are the most crucial areas: Development in AI and data sovereignty, as India embarks on setting out to be the global leader in technology. AI Development: By 2025, India's AI market should reach $7.8 billion. AI adoption must contribute $500 billion to the country's GDP by 2030. To realize this potential, we will have to take an Aatmanirbhar approach to AI development that will help innovations grow from within and reduce reliance on foreign technologies. That is how not only national security will improve but millions of jobs will be created and growth powered by AI across sectors like healthcare, agriculture, and manufacturing. Data Sovereignty As we anticipate that by 2025, India will generate approximately 2.3 million petabytes of data, our focus remains in protecting our data through local storage. Updating the Data Centre Policy 2020 will be of critical importance to keep Indian data within Indian data centres and protect sensitive information while boosting our cloud infrastructure and creating a local data economy. Forward-Looking Strategy: The force behind policy change is a call for India to be future-facing in AI and data management. India can focus the most on self-sufficiency along with national security while maintaining economics so that it strengthens its digital architecture, protects its data, and enters into the League of Leaders in Technology and Innovation.
