Advancing AI in Odisha: A Step Forward for Digital Transformation On October 19th, I had the pleasure of participating in the State-level Workshop on Advancing AI in Odisha. Experts and leaders from different sectors came together to explore how AI can make our governance smarter and more responsive in this insightful session. In this workshop, we introduced Wadhwani Foundation’s courses on AI and all the other Emerging Technologies, designed to help our bureaucrats to adopt new and emerging technologies for accelerating digital transformation. These courses are meant to be practical and relevant, providing the tools to make real changes in areas like improving public services, speeding up processes, and using data to make better decisions. Key takeaways from the presentation: AI for Data-Driven Governance: Changing the way we look at data, leading to more informed and smarter policymaking. Improving Public Services: AI-powered tools to help citizens get information and services in local languages. Ethical AI Deployment: Addressing workforce concerns, to ensure responsible AI implementation and maintain public trust. Global Competitiveness: AI readiness to allow bureaucrats drive innovation and economic growth at a faster pace. The Odisha government is doing something great by working on its own AI policy, and I’m excited to be part of this journey. I believe it’s a step in the right direction, and I’m eager to see how we can all contribute to making AI a positive force for change in the coming days. #AIforGovernance #DigitalTransformation #AI4Odisha #PublicSectorInnovation #WadhwaniFoundation #WGDT
