In times of crisis, the Federalist paradigm has led to the development of original solutions to problems of domestic balances and global politics, as highlighted by Hamilton, Jay, and Madison in the Federalist Papers, and in Clarence Streit's Union Now. In this series of three articles, our research fellow Sofia Eliodori proposes an analysis of Federalism as a tool for foreign policy. Federalism affects foreign policy at many levels as it creates a bridge between the internal and external dimensions of political power balances, uniting domestic governance and Global Diplomacy. The analysis will look at the multidimensionality of the federal paradigm, emphasizing in particular how it affects two conceptual pairs: one that sees Citizen Participation on one side and Public Diplomacy on the other; the other that combines Sovereignty and Global Governance. https://lnkd.in/g2xic76j
