We have recently submitted a non-conforming Expression of Interest to Rio Tinto via their EPCM Worley to supply ground modules and integrated idlers for Brockman South 1 (BS1 project) through the Industry Capability Network gateway. With the science on conveyor losses due to idler roller diameter now established and publicly available, and specialist conveyor simulation companies able to conclusively model the benefits, we lay down the challenge to Rio Tinto as a WA top 10 GHG emitter, and their appointed EPCM, to back up the ESG rhetoric with action, and not progress this project with a Business-as-Usual approach. We also applaud Rio Tinto and the WA State Government for their efforts and funding in establishing another startup accelerator (link below). Like-for-like (LFL) revenue grew by 2% and underlying EBITDA by 10% despite a 4% volume decline, which reflects the Group’s strong market position, pricing power, and differentiated operational model with diversified end markets.
