Guest Speaker Aruna Anand, President and CEO, Continental Automotive North America. Some of the takeaways included how she valued mentorship early in her career. Get connected with a mentor!! Another topic of discussion asked by the audience was how you get noticed in the workplace when you're trying to rise to the top. She had a lot of great suggestions including looking for those weak links where you can come up with a solution, or host an informational luncheon and invite your colleagues. Five Scholarships were also awarded to some pretty amazing girls. Loved hearing what the next generation is pursuing in careers. For all you backyard mechanics, here's a tip on finding and adjusting a noisy car engine valve to the right gap, this on my 1959 British Triumph TR 3A roadster. After the valve cover is removed, need a feeler gauge of the right size, a screwdriver and a box end wrench.
