An absolute honour to be apart of this team and hearing about Viet Nams Digital Transformation agenda. I had the best time with my DTA colleagues and learnt so much.

General Manager Digital Strategy, Policy and Performance at Digital Transformation Agency

Xin Chào! Hello from Hồ Chí Minh! This week, I have had the pleasure of returning to Việt Nam for the second official Australian Government delegation to discuss our countries’ digital transformation agendas and attend their 3rd Digital Transformation Week. The amazing team and I from the Digital Transformation Agency were proud to share insights on Australia’s whole-of-government approach to digital transformation and the adoption of safe and responsible AI to benefit people and business. A key theme we discussed through the week was the significant opportunities of AI to drive better and more efficient services for our people, as well some of the challenges governments around the world are navigating with this emerging technology. I have been struck by the rapid progress Việt Nam has made in its digital transformation journey since I was last here 12 months ago. Their vision and ambitions, particularly in its adoption of AI and digitisation of government services, set the scene for robust discussion on how our countries can deepen our cooperation as trusted partners on digital. Our participation at Việt Nam’s 3rd annual International Digital Transformation Week, held in beautiful Hạ Long Bay was both insightful and rewarding. The theme of the discussions was on virtual assistants, it was encouraging to hear from Việt Nam and other international leaders on how they are leveraging this technology to deliver more personalised, responsive and modern services to the benefit of people. We are proud to be strategic partners with Việt Nam after more than 50 years of diplomatic relations. We look forward to continuing to share our learnings and approach to digital transformation as a key pillar of shared interest under the Australia-Việt Nam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Brilliant job Tom Marwick Kayla D’Ambrosio Luke Eade Kristi Farrell Angus Clark and Bronwen Markham.
