As a savvy traveler, here are 3 recommendations to enhance the convenience and security of your journey: Tip 1) KEEP YOUR PHONES IN A POCKET OR PURSE. Phone snatching is becoming quite the nasty trend. Moped and motorcycle thieves are out in full force, pickpocket thieves, too. They will come along and snatch the phone right out of your hand. A great tip is that you can use a phone lanyard like this one during your trip; get one for the whole family: https://amzn.to/3zRkHsD Tip 2) USE EXPRESS TAP-TO-PAY. Traveling on the London Underground is a highly notable experience. Having slow tourists in the way, causes frustrations for all. Prior to arriving at the station, it is advisable to chart your course at a coffee shop or your hotel. Remember, figuring out your route on the street makes you an easy target (See Tip 1). Additionally, please be mindful to tap your card before entering the train station, and it is imperative that you TAP YOUR CARD AGAIN while exiting the station. Otherwise, instead of a few pounds, you will be charged the full day rate. Use your phone instead of purchasing a ticket at the kiosk by using Express Tap-To-Pay, explained here: https://lnkd.in/ea8eu3qe Tip 3) BICYCLE TRIKE FEES. Determine your desired destination and the anticipated upfront expenses. Establish where you want to go and HOW MUCH IT will cost you UPFRONT. Some bicycle trike fees outside of Selfridges, or around the tourist areas, can be in excess of £200. You don't want to pay that to go only a few blocks just because you tried to break in your new set of sneakers and failed.
