Industries need IT and OT to work together. But connecting them creates risks. Therefore, advanced IoT protocols step in to secure those connections. MQTT, CoAP, and OPC UA build trust between systems. As a result, data flows securely. Without these protocols, systems remain exposed. Thus, real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance won’t reach their potential. Secure connections allow smarter decisions. Consequently, IoT can scale without compromise. #IoT #ITOT #SecureConnectivity #Innovation

Did you know that MQTT offers 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀 of 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 (QoS)? 𝗤𝗼𝗦𝟬: Guarantees delivery of messages at most once. No ACK is sent. Also known as Fire and Forget. 𝗤𝗼𝗦𝟭: Guarantees delivery of messages at least once. ACK is sent after delivery. Therefore, multiple SENDs are possible. This is the default QoS for MQTT. 𝗤𝗼𝗦𝟮: Guarantees delivery of message exactly once. Message is followed by an ACK, which is responded by subsequent messages of ACK_Response and then SEND_Complete. QoS2 is the most reliable guarantee of delivery. Learn about other interesting features of MQTT in this brief guide below. #MQTT #IoT #EmbeddedSystems

MQTT is suitable for many IoT applications, but 𝙣𝙤𝙩 all. It is a light-weight messaging protocol that ensures reliable and secure communication over unreliable channels. As contributed by Harald Naumann (thanks for your input Harald!) and others to my previous post, it is not suitable for NB-IoT, 5G NTN and in ultra-power-constrained applications. On the other hand, it is 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 and has a 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 of tools and libraries, that helped its early adaption in IoT. Below is a basic guide for IoT & embedded developers about 1. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗤𝗧𝗧? 2. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? 3. Its 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 and where it is used 4. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗤𝗧𝗧 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲?
