Our Projects - South-to-South E-mobility Policy Exchange This initiative is a collaborative effort involving key stakeholders such as Policy Makers, the Tanzania Commission for Science & Technology, the Ministry of Transport, the Tanzania Electric Mobility Association (TAEMA) and other significant players in the Electric Mobility sub-sector. The initiative aimed at revolutionizing #Tanzania’s E-Mobility Ecosystem by supporting the establishment of a comprehensive policy framework for the deployment and scaling up of e-mobility in Tanzania. This framework will address critical aspects, including infrastructure development, regulatory policies, technology adoption, and public awareness initiatives, laying the groundwork for a sustainable and efficient #ElectricMobility ecosystem. At the international conference on #justtransitions in Warsaw led by Forum Energii next week we will look into the work of governments and think tanks, but we will also use the opportunities to facilitate real-time exchange between the members of the International Network of Energy Transition Think Tanks (INETTT) and the Polish climate and energy community. During the 4 thematic sessions, the participants of the conference will be able to join discussions on topics of financing, diplomacy, jobs & reskilling as well as the role of CSOs in making the transition happen in a just way. At bp, we aim to turn talk into walk through connectivity, education, and empowering change across Africa. I've taken on the responsibility of leading the Sub-Saharan chapter of BP's Global Sustainability Network. This adds to my existing advocacy work by equipping more employees to drive progress. I'm thrilled to merge this with my passion for the region. Here's what we have planned – collaborative digital forums to share best practices, workshops to build critical skills in areas like human rights and environment, locally-relevant educational content, and seed funding for employee-led initiatives. My goal is to advocate for sustainability, fuel a culture shift, and empower connectivity, education and action but we need your voice too! How could we as individuals make these offerings more meaningful? What support would catalyze change in our community? Where should we direct our spotlight next?
