For 75 years, our community has endured not just wars or resource deprivation, but a profound psychological erosion of our identity. It's time to reclaim it. On October 11, a pivotal proposal will be added to the agenda: Renaming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Afghania. This might spark debate, but it is rooted in strong historical evidence. When Chaudhry Rehmat Ali named Pakistan, he combined the provinces:  - P for Punjab - A for Afghania - KI for Kashmir - S for Sindh - TAN for Balochistan His "Now or Never" pamphlet explicitly named our province as Afghania. Over time, our province was renamed from NWFP to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while other provinces retained their original names. To reclaim our identity, we must use psychological means, just as they have been used against us. By renaming our province Afghania, we embed this name in our books, colleges, homes, and minds. This will compel Pakhtuns to question and analyze why their province is called Afghania, sparking a critical rethinking of our identity. This is about my latest book, 'The Indomitable Sikhs - A short History'. This insightful history book provides a concise yet comprehensive overview of the Sikh community from their origins under the ten Gurus to their later struggles. It begins by exploring the foundations of Sikh beliefs and practices established during the lives of the great Gurus. The narrative then examines the immense hardships Sikhs faced in defending their freedom against Mughal and Afghan rulers, chronicling the atrocities with sober reflection. A highlight is the consolidation of power in Punjab under the enlightened leadership of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the strong kingdom he established. However, internal conflicts following his death and two devastating wars with the British left the Sikhs subjugated. In its conclusion, the book movingly recounts the efforts and sacrifices to liberate Sikh places of worship and preserve their spiritual heritage. Concise yet insightful, this history offers valuable context on the indomitable spirit of the Sikhs.

What is the purpose of this book? Isn’t nationalism highly discouraged in Islam? I don't particularly have a strong affinity for politics, and I don't align myself with any specific political party. In fact, I hold the view that democracy is not permissible. However, I appreciate Mr. Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, for fearlessly expressing his opinions on our country's political system. Initially, I resisted this perspective, but gradually, not only did I come to believe it, but I also embraced it wholeheartedly without any regrets. Personally, I am of the opinion that all political parties, regardless of how they portray themselves, ultimately lack the capability to govern our country effectively. In my view, the military stands out as the most competent institution to lead us. They safeguard our borders, and their discipline and resilience make them well-equipped to manage the challenges posed by the diverse, perplexed, and sometimes hypocritical populace of our country, Pakistan. Despite my reservations, I still hold deep affection for my country, Pakistan, and my city, Karachi. However, I may not be willing to sacrifice my life for it.
