Consider this when planning your booth and exhibiting strategy. People's impressions will be based in emotion, not in logic. What's that mean for the trade show floor? Create an environment that you'd want to be in. That applies to your display (make it inviting!) but also to how your team interacts with attendees. Do you listen? Do you smile? Here’s part two in my series on how to handle yourself at trade shows, coming to you from the Sweets and Snacks Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana, one of the biggest candy and snack shows in the world. Tip #2: Even though I'm filming right now, I'm not on the phone. At trade shows, I often see people walking around talking on their phones. If you're on the phone, you can't be attentive to the vendors and booths you're there to see. Put your phone away and focus on the show. Save your calls and voicemails for breaks or lunchtime.
