🎙️ “It’s all about spotting the potential before the world catches on.” – Mark Cuban In this week’s episode of the Let Me Save You 25 Years podcast, I had the incredible opportunity to chat with the legendary Mark Cuban about something we both love to dive into—recognizing opportunity in unexpected places. Mark shared fascinating insights, including how Spikeball, a backyard game, and Uber, a revolutionary transportation platform, both started as niche ideas. He highlighted a crucial lesson for entrepreneurs: the importance of understanding your audience and building demand for what they don’t even realize they need yet. 💡 “It doesn’t matter if it’s a game or a tech company—when you see potential, act. That’s how innovation scales.” Hearing Mark’s take on how these ideas took off reminded me that success often comes from solving problems in ways that seem simple in hindsight but require bold vision upfront. Whether it’s a product that becomes a cultural movement or a disruptive technology, it’s about having the grit to take the first step and the adaptability to navigate growth. 🚀 If you’re an entrepreneur, investor, or dreamer trying to spot your own Spikeball or Uber moment, you don’t want to miss this episode. Mark breaks down what it takes to get ahead and stay there in today’s ever-changing landscape. 🎧 Tune in now on your favorite podcast platform, and let me know—what’s YOUR Spikeball idea? I've launched something new and looking for feedback: I love hearing and talking about startup ideas. As the difficulty of executing startup ideas go down the pendulum swings towards high quality ideas, we wanted a place to go deep on some ideas. Introducing a new podcast called "Million Dollar Ideas". My cohost is my friend Ken Leaver. We catch up over a call every 2 weeks and discuss ideas that we have or heard. Breaking each idea we heard, it's scope, who is the ICP, how would we launch it and most importantly how would it make money. A few weeks ago we decided to record our call. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to create 10 episodes and see how it goes. Each episode has: → 4 ideas discussed → How it could be a $1m/year business What we are looking for is: → Brutally honest feedback → How would you improve the format? - In the coming weeks we will also be bringing on guests and jamming on ideas together. Link to the first episode is in the comments below! Looking forward to your feedback.
