Voice for change 🗣️🌍 That’s what Melker Larsson, Anton Lindberg, and I chose to name our concept based on our book Regenerativ Business Voices: Values-Based Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Enterprises. Since our release of the book in the end of April we’ve been busy creating workshop material aligned with our mission to "Equip changemakers of today and tomorrow with tools to become more values-driven, resilient, and effective in implementing positive change.”. Last week was filled with exciting moments and meaningful conversations around regenerative business models and inner development as catalysts for positive change. Huge thanks to everyone involved 🙏 Here’s a recap: ✅ Lunch & Learn Session in Stockholm – Had the pleasure of connecting with a network of sustainability professionals to share insights from our book, where participants also got time to start practicing their moral muscle memory 🧠 💪 ✅ Global Academic Book Launch – We celebrated the release of our book with an inspiring global audience. Grateful for the engagement from professors and academics around the world when we shared how our book can be used in the classroom to prepare students for their journey as changemakers.  ✅ Accelerating a Sustainability Transition at Jönköping University – Led a session based on our book for executive students tackling the complex challenges of sustainable development. It’s inspiring to see business leaders embrace regenerative principles! In November, we’re thrilled to launch our latest module, Calibrating Your Inner Compass, as part of a sustainability ambassadors program at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Excited to continue creating this learning journey that support and equip people choosing to dedicate their professional lives to creating a better world. Just had an inspiring call with a former client who decided to take the horizon scanning practice from our #Foresight project to the next level! They're now #Trendify-ing their organization: 🔍 They have a Trendify team who is conducting participatory research on signals of change and early stage innovation (using the platform we recommended - is like a Book Club, but about innovations, trends and the future😝) 💬 They are sharing their research and engage in dynamic discussions (and debates) with different colleagues 📅 And are regularly informing leadership team on changes and possible futures. In a nutshell, they've put the "#Future" on their work agenda! For me, as a consultant, it feels so good to hear this! Not always easy to see if our work had an impact, what type of impact and more importantly, if it is also a mindset related impact (not only output related). Why is nature important to you? I've been deeply immersed in learning about nature risk this summer - including all about ecosystem services - as part of a capstone project with Anthesis Group for my Sustainable Innovation MBA at University of Vermont Grossman School of Business. The regulating, supporting, and provisional services of nature - from pollination to storm mitigation to water supply - are undeniable critical and so much more needs to be done to protect them. Yet the complexity is such that it's hard to explain the business case to someone with a non-science background. That's just part of the challenge for nature-positive action because we take many of nature’s services for granted. I'm leaning hard into my communication tools like storytelling and MBA skills around strategy. It is all so fascinating. I'd love to hear more about the personal connections that people have to nature because I think they are a valuable entry point for learning more. What keeps me going and really gives me joy is the cultural services from nature, especially recreation and this connection has historically been an opening for environmental action and conservation. Other cultural ecosystem services include spiritual, especially notable for indigenous people, as well as aesthetics. Here is my favorite summer photo so far: a joyful jump into Lake Champlain. One week left to go for my SI-MBA experience before I launch into the future!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻, 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗻 Attending the Villanova University Office for Sustainability International Sustainability Conference was a powerful reminder in how critical it is that we come together to address the challenges we are facing today. As we create new and innovative solutions, we must also recall that no solution will be perfect but despite these flaws we need to move forward while avoiding recurring, dangerous habits. At the core of this journey is the urgent need to reflect on why we need to change: because our planet is being destroyed. This realization calls for deep self-reflection. We must ask ourselves: What is the root of the problem? How do I contribute to it? How can I leverage my talents to contribute to the solution? One of the most profound takeaways from the conference was the power of storytelling. Stories help us see the unseen and make the invisible visible, giving voice to the realities that often go unnoticed. In this journey, we must seek discomfort—it’s where real growth happens. Ultimately, this is about 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲r. When I first discovered the whole concept of Regenerative Business & Leadership I had SO MANY QUESTIONS Some of them embodied the very essence of discovery aligned with regenerative principles Some of them were about translation, there are a lot of "academics" in this space who use big, unnecessary words that definately prevent regenerative being more accessible. Some were about confusion, how do I? what am I suppose to be doing? Is it right this way? That rumbling of uncertainty that has the potential to keep us stuck. Then there were questions about inspiration and innovation. Seeing people make things work, getting comfortable in the messy middle, in spite of our wider systems working in the opposite directions. Lets make it as easier for people to be in the complexity of #regenerativebusiness Not a far-reaching concept, only for the few. You might even be taking plenty of steps and beliefs towards it already you know, without even realising! That's why Sarah Elliott Spencer and I created Think Like A Forest. As spring flowers bloom and new life emerges in the sunshine, my family and I are embarking on a new journey. A journey off of the hamster wheel and daily grind. A journey to deeply connect with ourselves, humanity and the natural world! We move to the farm on 5/24 and will be starting two years of travel to various regenerative farms around the world, with Longmont as our new anchor. I will post more of the "Big Adventure", as our kids call it, as it emerges. For now I wanted to share just a sneak peak of my new professional life as the CEO of B the Light Consulting. Through my consulting practice, I study systems in nature where ecosystems thrive and apply these to human systems. Adaptive organizations operate like a healthy ecosystem, not a well oiled machine. This is the premise of a living systems approach and the way I am partnering with my clients to unlock their true potential. In most boardrooms and consulting firms, my work is generally called OD or Organizational Development. However, my approach is heart centered and unique, like nothing you have ever experienced in prior consulting arrangements. Through healthy and balanced partnerships I guide my clients to champion adaptive and resilient organizations. Adaptive organizations and resilient communities are built on regenerative principles. The most basic premise of regeneration is that it replenishes as it grows, it does not deplete or destroy, it heals and renews. Today marks the end of a remarkable experience with the University of Oxford, delving into the Future of Sustainable Business. Throughout the course, I've identified the range of socio-technical drivers that can accelerate progress to net-zero sustainable development goals and I've examined the critical role of enterprise and its relationship to environmental challenges across a range of risks, technological innovations, investment opportunities and policy responses. A special thanks to my dedicated course facilitator, professor Matthew Parnell PhD for his insightful feedback that pushed me to uncover new avenues for sustainability leadership within my organization.
