Your business goal this year may be to attend more local in person networking events. It's been a long time since you last stepped away from the farm office to engage with others who share similar interests. Lately, you've been spending more time with the kids, horses, goats, lambs, and cows. Take a moment for yourself this month and head into town to participate in a community event. Living in a rural area can sometimes feel isolating, so remember to take care of yourself and indulge in some self-care. #problemsolver #servicebasedbusiness #buildalifeyoulove #businessbuilding #careersuccess #serviceprovider #nswaustralia #victoriaaustralia #queenslandaustralia #australianbusiness #ruralbusiness #smallbusinessbigdreams #smallbusinesscommunity #ruralaustralianbusiness

Great local networking session at Plumpton Racecourse last night with the Haywards Heath Business Association, despite having to brave the storms to get there! 🌧️ After stepping back from networking last year due to life events, it feels amazing to reconnect with my local business community. It’s good to be back. 🙂 Working from home can be pretty isolated - full of video calls and emails. These events remind you of the value of face-to-face interactions, and you also get to explore some fantastic local venues! While I’m not there to sell my services (though that can be a nice side-effect), it’s really about meeting new people and feeling part of the community. 🥰 Plus there is a lot of support out there for local businesses which you might not find out about without your local business association. We had a great introduction to the West Sussex Growth Hub last night so I’m excited to dive into the resources they have on offer! What is your favourite thing about local networking? #networking #localbusiness #community #businesssupport

I was adding to this post I’m sharing about the Westerville Area Chamber than realized it started sounding just like the review they shared (that I wrote) so I just stopped 🤣 I will say this tho… 1. Your company should join your local chamber. (Very low 💵 fees) 2. Your company should support the local chamber. (Sponsor events etc) 2. You should look to add value to your business community. (Not sell) 3) As you are adding that value, you might make some friends 🤝 along the way (scratch that, you WILL) 4. You might even just get some 💰business from it. (But only after you do what? Yep, add value) BIG NEWS!!! 🥳 RevLocal’s corporate office is moving from Granville to Westerville! Guess who that means you will be seeing more of? So sorry! But seriously, I can’t wait. See ya soon! #chamber #localchamber #networking #smbmarketing #franchisemarketing #revlocalrj #2ndhalf
Thanks R.J. for your review! "I’ve really enjoyed my association with the Westerville Chamber. The staff and board members do a fantastic job of putting on great events, from after hours, to small business groups, informative, relevant luncheons and more. I’d highly recommend any person looking to get involved in the Westerville community to go ahead and make the decision to join the chamber and reap the many benefits!" #TestimonialTuesday #WestervilleAreaChamber #WestervilleOH #supportlocal #Westerville #WestervilleEvents #GoogleReview

SIZE MATTERS 🍆 Networks determine net worth To an extent, this is true. There's a direct correlation between how well-connected you are and how well you do in business. If anyone doubts that, then a casual glance at the alumni of the top private schools benefiting from the "old boys club" might offer some perspective. Now, we're no Eton or Harrow, but as the largest business membership group in the North, we're not just an enormous network; we're a community of ideas, friendship, opportunities, and no small measure of support. And, after a bumpy road, post Covid-19, we are thrilled to invite you to the first of series of relaunch events for The Yorkshire Mafia. This first event heralds a new chapter in our journey and an renewed opportunity for every member of our community. With over 200 business professionals already registered to attend, it isn’t just another meeting point; it's a launching pad for new growth, collaboration, and success. We're expecting over 300 people to attend and form valuable relationships that endure beyond typical networking events. Event Details: ✅ Date: May 9th from 5pm until late Location: Manahatta, Greek Street, Leeds Registration: Link is in the comments As we turn this new page, your presence means a great deal to us — it's a hat-tip to what we once achieved and a welcome vote of confidence as we step towards shaping the future of The Yorkshire Mafia. We're inviting all business decision makers to be part of this moment in our community's history. We would be honoured to have your renewed support to once again create something special for our beautiful county's business community. Simply put, it would be lovely to see you there. #YorkshireMafia #Networking #Business #JoinUs #StrongerTogether

The Power of Community When the Going Gets Tough Let's be real - managing sales, operations, and people is no walk in the park, especially with today's economic challenges. But you know what can make these hurdles way more manageable? The awesome community you build around you. I attended a CITT Toronto Area Council networking event last night, and the camaraderie was a measurable KPI. It was a solid reminder of just how invaluable our professional networks are - not just for business opportunities, but for genuine support from good people. I ran into several industry colleagues who were straight-up eager to lend a hand, offer advice, or share resources, no strings attached. These are the kinds of altruistic connections that are the support lines in a hard market. Times of uncertainty are when your community proves its true worth, providing more than just business insights but also much-needed moral support and a sense of belonging. So how can you strengthen your professional community? A few key tips: 1. Get Out There - Consistent participation in industry events like CITT gatherings is huge for reinforcing ties with peers who have your back. 2. Give First - Don't wait to be asked. Offer help freely. Being generous builds trust and strengthens relationships. 3. Diversify Your Network - Engaging with pros from different sectors introduces new perspectives for tackling challenges. 4. Stay Connected - Quick check-ins, advice sessions, or just catching up? All about maintaining those valuable bonds. At the end of the day, the true value of our networks extends way beyond immediate business advantages. It's about establishing a support system that helps us push through the tough stuff with resilience and good people by our sides. So keep investing in these real, human connections - they may just be our most valuable assets. BTW these events are 100% volunteer work and a big THANK YOU to Lucille Thiele for putting together a great event last night! I didn't take many photos, but Gary had a few good ones as always !
