Be careful of what you consume these days... This ad utilises the image of Rachna Ranade (without her permission mostly) to run a stock tip group... If one is in a hurry, they might miss that this is not Rachna's account... The question at hand is if big firms commit to such stuff without formally asking the celebrity for permission, there are legal routes to consider... What would happen to small entities in such a scenario? If a small xerox shop in Malleshwaram decides to use the image of Amitabh Bachan, there is only so much one can do... It is slightly hard to image Mr. Amitabh & his team to go over every street and check for unauthorised endorsements... Now being the same problem into Digital field... It turns infinitely larger... Anyone can run ads for a limited time using endorsements that run in grey area and get away with it... What are some ways to deal with this Shoot & Scoot problem?
