We are thrilled to share that two of our exceptional wholesale associates, Courtnie Nelson and Kerri Ilyichenko, were honored as Rising Stars! ✨ Their dedication, passion, and hard work exemplify the values we hold dear, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments.

As a marketer, we eagerly await topical days while also worrying about how to make things happen. Recently, as we started working on our Women's Day campaign, we wanted to keep it simple. But during research, we found something surprising about the Care Industry: a huge 82% of the workforce are women, leaving only 18% for others.
This revelation left us astounded; while we acknowledge the pivotal role women play in this sector, the sheer magnitude of their representation is astonishing. Scan any platform—be it corporate websites, Google searches, or stock image portals—with keywords like 'Care,' 'Care Workers,' or 'Care Industry,' and you'll predominantly encounter images of women. This prevalence underscores the undeniable importance of women in this domain, establishing them as the primary faces of the Care Industry.
However, as we crafted our campaign, I thought about the other side of the story. This year's theme of 'Inspiring Inclusion' presents a striking contrast when considered alongside the gender dynamics within the care sector. After all, care knows no gender boundaries.
In countries like the UK, where shortages of care staff are already prevalent amid escalating demands, envisioning the future implications becomes imperative. We should think of a broader perspective: while women undeniably form the backbone of the care industry, fostering gender diversity and inclusivity is essential for its sustenance and growth. It's time for all genders to embrace careers in care, thereby lessening the burden on women who have long shouldered the responsibilities of this noble profession.
By encouraging people from all backgrounds to join the sector, we not only embrace inclusivity but also strengthen the care industry.

What I Learned at the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce Women’s Symposium
Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce Women’s Symposium, where I connected with many inspiring women in business and explored a variety of innovative vendor booths. Here’s what stood out to me:
1. The Power of Women in Business
There are so many hardworking, successful women out there making a real difference across industries—whether in healthcare, beauty, construction, education, or beyond. Women are not only capable but are actively shaping the future of business. If you’re working in a male-dominated company, now is the time to diversify your hiring practices. Talented, driven women bring invaluable perspectives, skills, and innovation that will strengthen your organization.
2. Women’s Health is Front and Center
A major theme at this symposium was the importance of addressing women’s health needs, especially as we navigate various life stages. From pregnancy and new motherhood to perimenopause and menopause, women are pushing for better healthcare, understanding, and workplace support. If your company hasn’t already evaluated its policies on these critical issues, now is the time to take action. Supporting women through these transitions is not just a matter of health—it’s a matter of equity.
3. Mentorship and Sponsorship Matter
I was deeply moved by stories of women who have scaled their careers thanks to the guidance of mentors and the backing of sponsors. These relationships are invaluable for professional growth and success. If you’re in a position to help, take a look around your organization and actively support the women who show promise. When we empower each other, we all rise together.
Let’s continue to break barriers, build communities, and create opportunities for women in business. When women support women, everyone wins.
