Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Prewave Engage Day in Vienna, where Harald Nitschinger, co-founder of Prewave, delivered an insightful presentation on the pressing challenges and evolving landscape of global supply chains due to increasing uncertainty and global legislative initiatives. His emphasis on resilience and sustainability aligns perfectly with the focus of our research alongside my international research colleagues and co-authors. It’s inspiring to see our work on the paradoxical relationship between resilience and sustainability, particularly our insights on joint network capabilities as a strategic response, gaining traction beyond academia. Research should never be confined to dusty library shelves—it’s rewarding to witness our findings being practically applied as guidance for real-world challenges. Currently, our work is in peer review at leading international journals, and I look forward to sharing our published insights soon!
