Q4 it’s about to start. Already I’m hearing the rumblings and it seems to get earlier every year. “Well, I’ve got Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up. You know the holidays and even Halloween is turning into a big event. I’ve got most of my numbers in so I think I’ll coast the rest of the year.” There’s a number of reasons not to do this. First and foremost, it’s what lots of your competitors are going to do. Remember the Great Toilet Paper Fiasco of 2020? It was like Black Friday came and never left. The stores were barren, the people were hoarding, and the memes flooded our phones. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱. We were all suddenly convinced that not having enough would turn our homes into a modern-day outhouse. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀: 𝗪𝗵𝘆? The answer: We just can't resist the allure of scarcity. Something in our wiring tells us that we must get it now, before it's gone.
