The 2025 #Photonics100 list has been unveiled, celebrating the remarkable achievements of 100 leading individuals driving innovation in photonics and optical technology worldwide. The Photonics100, curated by a panel of industry experts, highlights scientists, engineers, and business leaders whose work is reshaping sectors from aerospace and telecommunications to quantum technologies and healthcare. With representatives from 19 countries, including first-time entries from South Africa and the return of India to the list, this year’s Photonics100 showcases a blend of established and emerging photonics hubs, and we are proud of the fact that both of the honorees from Ireland in 2025 list are our Research and Development Manager, Gaurav Jain, and Pilot's Co-Founder, Prince Anandarajah. The Project100 2025 reflects the growing recognition of photonics activity, with honorees embodying the diverse, transformative power of photonics. These individuals are shaping the future of photonics with novel approaches to data processing, AI-driven systems, medical device innovation, and beyond. “We’re thrilled to celebrate this community of photonics pioneers, whose work is changing industries around the world, sparking insightful discussions and driving progress on key issues shaping photonics today,” said Warren Clarke, CEO of Europa Science.
