Posting consistently on all SMM platforms is NOT enough for it to work 👇 If you want to grow on social, you have to do more I agree “Adaptability” is important, but it’s not everything 🤷♀️ If you're trying to figure out what platform to focus on ... go back to your target consumer 🍀 Who are they? 🍀 What age are they? 🍀 What social media platforms might they be on? 🍀 What platforms have proved successful for your competitors? Everything you do on social you need to make sure you're bringing it back to your ideal customers 🫶 In this scenario, you don't matter 👀 I see all too often brands approach us, and they neglect social media platforms because they don't personally like them themselves and favour platforms that they think they NEED but that their audience isn't focused on themselves 🥲 Just because YOU use it doesn't mean your ideal customer will This might feel obvious to some, and if it is, please scroll 🏃♀️, but I'm on calls every week with sustainably led brands where it's really not obvious 🤷♀️ --------------------------- PS If you're a sustainable business and you're in need of help with your marketing, let’s have a coffee and a chat! Is brand building easy in today's time? One may say that with the surge of digital marketing agencies and access to social media has made brand building very easy - however I find it quite contrary! With constant changes in Instagram algorithms, constant competition, the race to grab followers attention - its all too much. You create good videos / content and just wait for people to approve you and approve your content through likes / comments/ shares. Millennials like me- who have learnt the traditional aspects of business and also learning about the new age business and brand building - often find ourselves in a loop - ki kya kare, should we grow the social media or should we create an offline presence and get more clients? Well, amongst this confusions and chaos, I have started my attempt to create financial awareness reels / content to help you manage your money better. Do follow me on instagram if you have an account and havent followed my page already :)

#TodaysMarketingInsight Is about @jayz and the Grammys! We ask, was he right or wrong? Let’s talk about trending. The key to going viral, getting free publicity and engagement is “taking a stance” and often presenting that stance at an unexpected moment. It works the same way as a gif or meme, as in it’s funny because it’s unexpected. Last night, nobody expected Jay-Z to call out the Grammy’s while winning a Grammy. Now, he’s gone viral for practicing a technique we call giving a “call-to-emotion”. This is what social media engagement is made of. In the same way we have call-to-action buttons on your websites, wanting people to buy. Calls to emotion opens the door for everyone to have an option. Some politicians do this well, although polarizing, and it keeps the conversation around you (hint or your posts). So, here’s the takeaway: 1. Get attention by finding a unique way to present your content (not just what everyone else is doing). 2. Draw a line in the sand, without fear of alienation (your audience will advocate for you.) 3. Allow people to agree, disagree, and just be a part of the conversation (because that’s engagement). Not to be confused with being controversial just for the sake of it. Authenticity goes a long way, and people can tell if you mean it or are just stirring the pot. Bonus: Joining a broader/trending conversation, voicing your perspective on it increases your chances of engagement. Businesses are afraid to be social, but if they shared “the positive/negative of our local economy if (insert any Presidental candidate) gets elected”…their audience will engage. You just have to know who your audience is, and not be afraid to speak what they’re thinking. Businesses spend so much time trying not to straddle the fence, that they don’t send a clear message. Having a mission, values, and a message makes it easier to speak to your target audience - if you’re brave. This tactic isn’t for everyone, and you should consult your marketing plan before utilizing it. Now, go #EventuateSuccess

Gen Z isn’t scared to share their life on social media, showing how their generation will not just be digital but deeply social. They are no longer following existing trends but bringing new ones too, driving demands for connection, desire and affiliation. This is where traditional advertising falls short for a generation of buyers like them who speak their language and look for trends at a different pace. This means brands should collaborate with creators to build trust online and stand out. → Gen Z values raw content over polished ones. Brands should focus on genuine storytelling and transparent communication, aligning with their values. → Gen Z loves seeing real people using products in real situations. This can increase brand credibility and build a community. → Gen Z is highly conscious of social and environmental issues. Brands that show such commitment can build strong connections with this audience. They invite brands to share their stories and build connections, making purchases that tell stories, make references and carry meaning. Without a strong brand identity and story, brands will struggle to align with such communities and cultures. Are you making the most of social media to connect with them? #influencermarketing #socialmedia

From Andrew Tenzer: Brands focusing on ‘social’ media are making us more antisocial Despite the name, social media makes people less connected with their communities. Brands should focus more on bringing them together in the real world https://lnkd.in/gTc-piCh
