Working at milk + honey has taught me the paramount importance of ingredients in skincare and wellness products. Our skin, being the largest organ of our body, absorbs much of what we apply to it, directly impacting our bloodstream. My years of experience in a non-toxic work environment has illuminated the hidden dangers in many everyday products, which many of us unknowingly expose ourselves to. It's alarming to discover that while over 1600 ingredients are banned in Europe and other countries due to their harmful effects, the FDA in the USA has only banned 9. California and Maryland have made efforts to enhance public health protections, yet even with their interventions, only 24 harmful ingredients are banned. Even more concerning is that several of these banned substances are known to cause or increase the risk of cancer. I am grateful to be part of a team at m+h that prioritizes safety and health long before I was even aware of these dangers. The knowledge I've gained here has been transformative, helping me unlearn many harmful habits I've had since childhood. At m+h, we ensure that all our products are made with the highest quality ingredients and essential oils, emphasizing hyperclean, plant-based, and organic options. For therapists working daily with these products, it's crucial to know exactly what we are exposed to. At m+h, we not only deliver exceptional treatments with the best therapists in town but also ensure a clean and safe environment for both employees and guests. #SafeSkincare #BeautyWithoutCompromise #SpaWellness #milkandhoneyspa #osea #cosmedix #Wearehiring #AustinLMT
