After missing it last year, I am again going to HTLH in Las Vegas next week. Hope to see folks there!
Sign up here to speak with someone from the Zus team at our booth: https://lnkd.in/ebVefEFY
One of the standout demos on our courses (pending availability) involves exploring the internal structures of the heart and lungs.
Seeing these organs firsthand helps students truly understand their complexities and how different conditions can affect the body.
It makes it clearer why we do what we do—and what happens when things go wrong.

We can't wait for WVC next week! Swing by the IndeVets booth to meet our awesome team of doctors and hear what it's like being an Associate Relief Vet. See you in Vegas! 🎰 🤩
In this episode I share how the conference in Colorado went. It was amazing! Colorado runs a great conference, and this was their best turn out ever! We had two hours to discuss posture, and I think we opened some minds. I also share that we were waitlisted for the AOTA conference in 2025. I'm bummed but it's ok. We'll keep plugging away at getting the science of fascia into the hands of OT practitioners and others who are open! Take a course and keep listening! As we head into the colder months, many districts are diving into key projects to ensure students and staff are set up for success in 2025. Whether it’s organizing funding resources, evaluating LTE devices to level the playing field for rural areas, or planning ahead for hardware upgrades, this season is the perfect time to tackle those big tasks.
For me, I’m working on getting demos into IT directors’ hands so they can test before buying season—all while enjoying my favorite Thanksgiving dish: mashed potatoes with gravy.
What are you working on this winter? And what’s your favorite dish to enjoy while doing it? Let’s share some ideas and inspiration!
Welcome to this demonstration of the Suction Assisted Laryngoscopy Airway Decontamination (SALAD) technique with Bill Cantrell, RN, BSN, CEN, an expert in emergency and critical care education. The SALAD technique, a method developed, by Dr. Jim Ducanto, to manage severely contaminated airways, is specifically designed to assist clinicians when confronted with blood, vomit, or other fluids that obstruct the airway and impede visualization during intubation.
SALAD involves the use of a wide-bore suction catheter, such as the DuCanto Catheter, positioned directly in the airway to continuously remove contaminating material. This approach maintains a clear view of the larynx, optimizing conditions for laryngoscopy and allowing clinicians to achieve secure intubation even in high-stress, high-risk scenarios. SALAD is particularly beneficial in emergency settings, where rapid and effective airway management can be the difference between life and death.
In this session, Bill will guide us through the practical application of SALAD, discussing techniques for positioning, handling suction devices, and maximizing visualization—all vital skills for critical care providers aiming to enhance patient outcomes in airway management.
