A brief historical review of LTE Public Safety, Mission Crtical Communication, MC-PTT, MC-Data, MC-Video, etc. On June 4 and 5, 2009, the 2946th session of the COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION (Justice and Home Affairs) adopted Recommendation st10141.09 "Draft Council Recommendation on improving radio communication between operational units in border areas". Under the French presidency of the EU in 2008, a project was launched under the name "EURACOM", during which a working group was set up to work on a draft recommendation. After several meetings in France, the recommendation was finalized on April 3, 2009 in Prague with a panel of European experts. To sum up, the aim was to find technical solutions for cross-border radiocommunications along the following lines: a) in the short term, countries with common borders can cooperate to improve communications by implementing local solutions; b) in the medium term, existing police and security mobile communication systems should be connected to provide a more efficient solution for cross-border communications and facilitate roaming; c) in the long term, a mobile broadband solution for data transfer should be put in place. A common standard operating in a harmonized frequency range would enable this; It also recommended that a group of experts be set up to examine the issue and monitor developments. Thus was born this group of experts, later renamed the RCEG (Radio Communication Expert Group). That's how the story began 15 years ago, and how it has since developed into a wide range of working groups, organizations and projects. #RCEG, #TCCA, #CCW, #MC-PTT, #MC-X https://lnkd.in/eCtihfDV

Interfaces matter! Our CNHF Manpack radios are XMPP-ready by standard. XMPP is an open communication protocol that creates completely new venues for communications when applied to radio systems. File transfer, easy integration to other XMPP-enabled systems and the NATO-developed Joint Tactical Chat (JChat) are all unique features that our radios are capable of delivering. XMPP enables swift and versatile communications on the field. The true power of native XMPP support in the HF manpack radio is realised when it is attached to a larger communication structure with an XMPP server in it. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g4-MJH-s #KNL #GetConnected #CNHF #Manpack #XMPP #TacticalCommunications
