Great to see the ongoing success in functional drinks as it continues to grow in prominence as one of the leading categories across out of home, convenience, grocery and on premise. Having worked with many of the big energy brands like Monster Energy, Powerade, Carabao Group and Rockstar Energy Drink, the team Serendipity2 is increasingly focused on brands which offer functional health as an added bonus to an energy boost. So much innovation is now coming from new entrants into the market, and it will be interesting to see how many of these brands become established as long term players especially with the huge level of competition in soft drinks and hot beverages. Having conducted recent qual and quant consumer and shopper research for big players like Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, our view at Serendipity2 is that those brand owners who listen very attentively to the changing nature of consumer purchasing behaviour and who continue to innovate quickly, will be the winners.
