As a teacher and developmental psychology enthusiast, I’ve always been fascinated by Freud’s psychosexual stages and their impact on human behavior. One tragic story that underscores the importance of early childhood experiences is that of Aileen Wuornos, featured on "Deadly Women." Aileen's life, marred by neglect and abuse during critical developmental stages, reveals how unresolved childhood conflicts can lead to severe issues in adulthood. By understanding Freud’s stages, we can better support children’s growth: Parents: Offer consistent, loving care to build trust and security. Teachers: Create supportive environments that nurture social and emotional development. Education Administrators and Policy Makers: Ensure proper training and policies to support early childhood care and education.
