Are you someone who talks about how Gen Z are more likely to want a flexible working environment or challenge the status quo? Perhaps you see Gen Zs as less committed to work and lacking the strong work ethic of Baby Boomers. Maybe you consider Baby Boomers to be rule followers who prefer traditional working hours? Perhaps it’s time to question those assumptions and take a more personal approach to employee needs. This meta analysis research shows there’s very little evidence existing to support generational differences at work. Evidenced based practice makes a huge difference to how we approach workplace problems and could save a ton of time and money. It could also help your organization develop stronger working relationships with your people. Thats not to say there aren’t generational differences in your teams, but take the time review ALL evidence bases to make sure you’re fully aware of the problem before designing the solution. #EvidencedBasedPractice #ChallengingAssumptions #OccupationalPsychology #BuildingBetterWorkplaces #LetsLoveToWork

🛑 We should stop giving others control over our feelings about and | or how deeply we believe in ourselves!! Across the last few days, I’ve seen many posts on how we internalize others opinions of us, and the impact of negative words-thoughts-sentiments on our psyche. Believe in yourselves even when - or maybe especially when - it is hard. Self-worth is our set of core beliefs about our value as a human being. It’s how we see ourselves and who we perceive ourselves to be. People differ in what they believe they must be or do to have worth or value. Michael Gervais’s HBR article does a great job in challenging our need for external validation - take a read. #SelfWorth #BelieveInYourself

The most effective and least time consuming method of motivation is- Setting intentions. Before I start an important task, or start a new day week or month, I find it to be more effective if I set aside a few minutes and set an intention for it. Setting intentions is about aligning your energy and focus toward what truly matters to you. When you set an intention, you're creating a clear, purposeful mindset that guides your actions throughout the day. Some science behind this- A study in the Journal of Experimental Psychology found that people who set specific intentions were more likely to succeed and feel satisfied. This happens because setting intentions activates the brain's planning and decision-making areas, improving focus and reducing distractions. Setting intentions helps you stay present and mindful, acting as a mental blueprint for your day. By starting your day with a clear intention, you're more likely to make choices that align with your goals, giving you a sense of purpose and direction. Plus, setting intentions can reduce stress and boost resilience. Focusing on your desired outcomes helps you navigate challenges with a positive mindset, fostering self-awareness and encouraging growth. Incorporating the habit of setting intentions can transform your daily life, leading to better productivity, emotional well-being, and fulfillment. Try starting each day with a clear intention and see how it shapes your actions and outcomes. Its interesting how a simple practice like setting intentions can have such a profound impact on our lives. It combines both scientific research and practical wisdom to show how we can improve our well-being and achieve our goals more effectively. #settingintention #modernseeking #mondaymotivation If you'd like to read the study, here's the link- https://lnkd.in/gpytV94e

Exciting news! 🌟 Dive into this thought-provoking quote by William James on Action and discover how it can impact your personal growth journey. 🧠 "Action seems to follow feeling, but really action and feeling go together. By regulating the action, which is under the more direct control of the will, we can indirectly regulate the feeling." How do you apply this insight in your daily life?
