Art light installation developed to activate the "VianaStarts" project, exploring the connection between the past and the future. In the center of the bandstand, an industrial tubular structure stands as a symbolic object, connecting the historic space to the future transformation of the old Slaughterhouse into the future Viana Starts building. This structure supports LED bars that emit sequences of light, creating and deconstructing the space. The light sequences reflect the dynamism and activity of the Slaughterhouse's past, as well as the future innovation that awaits it. The installation not only lights the bandstand but also invites reflection on urban transformation and collective memory, celebrating the continuity and renewal of spaces and the communities that inhabit them. _ Project by Openfield CreativeLab Video by Francisca Siza Vieira Client: DINAMO10, VianaStarts, CM Viana Castelo _ July 2024

we use daily these curves to design beautiful products and automobiles. .. what goes behind the scenes is amazing mathematics calculations
This is a small tribute to Pierre Bézier (1910-1999) that I created on the occasion of his birth anniversary. It is a visual explanation that illustrates the principle behind the construction of the #quadratic #Bézier #curve, which at this very moment allows your device to calculate the individual curves in every letter that makes up this text! Besides its conceptual beauty, it is to me the proof that complexity can always be reduced to simple elements. Merci beaucoup, Monsieur Bézier. In 2023, the art of glassmaking was included in the Lists of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Now, the Federation of Crystal and Glass (Fédération du Cristal et du Verre) has decided to pay tribute to this extraordinary material in a dedicated exhibition: "Les gestes verriers”. This show will take place from 21st September 2024 to 19th January 2025 along the railings of the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, offering visitors the chance to discover the beauty of glass, the craftsmanship involved in its creation, and a great deal more. There will be 80 photographs on display, coming from 33 workshops throughout France, including those of Zignago Vetro. For us, it is a source of immense pride to be able to show - through these images – the importance and magical mystique of the material we work with every day. #ZignagoVetro #glassproduction #glassindustry #innovation #circulareconomy #jardinduluxembourg
