MUSEUM OF EMOTIONS- Edition #4 Competition entry
Title- The journey
Description- The two spaces of the museum have the same maze layout but a contrasting impact on the emotions of the user. In the lower space the user can clearly see the goal through the transparent glass but still feel stuck, confused and frustrated. Whereas in the upper space, the user is not clear about the goal but still has a sensory experience walking amid the textures, colours, fragrance and the life around. The user is actually enjoying the journey....as it is said IT'S ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY.....

My review of the Venice Architecture Biennale
Honestly, this was more about the Arsenale than about the Giardini because Giardini had a lot more architectural projects. And here I am specifically talking about the main exhibition and not the country pavilions.
I felt that overall, it lacked architecture. There were some great ideas and issues raised but again do they belong in an architectural Biennale.
And I recently read a review of the Venice Architecture Biennale by Rowan Moore. He also wrote it perfectly, “ In places, this biennale feels thin and under-resourced, which probably reflects the fact that previous iterations have had more projects by big practices, which tend to bring along additional funding. If you hoped for a burst of energy and celebration, you don’t quite get it. It suffers, as have previous biennales, from exhibits that are wilfully hard to understand, unilluminated by wordy and opaque captions – in a kind of language that architectural academe for some reason loves. In shows this big, you shouldn’t have to work so much to get to the meaning of the displays.”
Again this was not about specific exhibits, it was about the exhibition overall.
I spoke with a lot of people about this and most of them had the same thought. Honestly, I found some amazing work there, but if you weren’t able to go last year, you did not miss much. And I know my visuals showed majoritarian architectural work, but that's because I only recorded that.

This era, that we are living in, will be notorious for embracing imperfections.
Historically, art and architecture evolved in response to the values that the society held. The events that shape history eventually shape the architecture, literature and art of that period.
What do you think will our period of #architecture be known for?
It is only fair that the openness we show towards imperfections reflect in our quest for #beautifulspaces.
Read our bite sized Tuesday #Blog to know why #architects are finding beauty in imperfections.

Antoni Gaudí's impact on architecture is nothing short of revolutionary. Known for his unique style that seamlessly blends nature, art, and innovation, Gaudí's works have left an indelible mark on the world. His creations are a testament to his genius and visionary approach. Do you know what characterized his work?
✨ Organic Forms: inspired by nature, his designs mimic the natural world with fluid lines and intricate details.
🔍 Innovative Techniques: he pioneered methods such as the use of hyperboloid structures and the polifunicular model, which have influenced modern architecture.
🌿 Sustainability: long before it became a global movement, he integrated sustainable practices into his designs, emphasizing harmony with the environment.
But Gaudí's legacy extends beyond his architectural masterpieces. He believed in the profound connection between people and their surroundings, advocating for buildings that enhance human well-being.

1860 DECONSTRUCTION and CONVEYANCE of MEANING -Gautam Shah https://lnkd.in/djMH28uM Deconstructivism, soon, became a rage (in absence) of a ‘style movement’. The thinking (and practice) gained boost with, MOMA’s 1988 Deconstructivist Architecture exhibition, by Philip Johnson and Mark Wigley, featuring, Zaha Hadid, Peter Eisenman, Daniel Libeskind, and others. Over the years Deconstructed architecture is marked by high degree of Fragmentation, Distortion, Asymmetry, unusual surfaces, composition of elemental Blocks, Gravity defiant arrangements, Disregard for functionality, Apathy for localization and Intentional Humour.
A thought on biomimetic design:
Consider the wing of a butterfly or moth: its colors and patterns are not just structural marvels but also crucial for attracting mates and deterring predators. This seamless blend of structural and cultural performance offers a powerful reference for architecture.
In learning from the natural world, we should explore the cultural significance of color, ornament, and pattern alongside technical and structural insights. This approach can inspire the creation of 'Erotech buildings'—digitally evolved structures that harmonize functional and cultural performance.
