Minister for Climate Change, Minister for Energy, Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage. Leader of the Government in the Upper House.
The NSW Budget is saving on bills, moving towards net zero and protecting our environment. $3.5 billion on Climate Change and Energy $3.1 billion to deliver Renewable Energy Zones Plus $2.4 billion for Environment and Heritage Our investment includes: ⚡️$238 million for the upcoming Consumer Energy Strategy 🏡$87 million for energy saving upgrades to social housing 💵$435 million for energy bill rebates 💡$128 million to upgrade roads and infrastructure between Port of Newcastle and Renewable Energy Zones 🦎$75 million to look after our national parks ⚡️$39 million for more workers to conduct biodiversity assessments for renewable energy projects ♻️$43 million to transform the waste and recycling industry 🌳$87 million for environmental grants 🐨And our funding for wildlife continues, including the creation of a Great Koala National Park
I feel the only gap we need to fill, is the education of the consumer as to when renewables are available and how well they are using them. EnergyFlex has built that very app, it has a rating out of 5....and its free.
Excellent to see NSW with an Enviromment Minister actively advocating environmental protection. Next budget, let’s flip around the $435 million for energy rebates with the $75 million NSW National Parks - these are still an incredibly undervalued, under resourced asset.
The Lucky Country! We look with envy from over the fotch. No wonder so many New Zealanders are moving to Australia. We've had our environmental funding slashed in our most recent budget
The Globe is robust in attaining NET-ZERO...
Best of luck!

5moThis looks promising. We have a cost of living, energy and climate crisis and the fastest solution is a lot more CER, particularly C&I . Urgency and scale. Bring it on! 👍
