🚮 POLL RESULTS ARE IN! Two weeks ago, we asked for your opinions on the most crucial step in efficient sorting. Here’s what we’ve learned together: Every step matters! In sorting facilities, each phase is meticulously engineered to handle mixed waste and segregate it into distinct material streams such as plastics, fibres, metals, and glass. Skipping or undermining any part of this process can significantly compromise the quality of the output. Why does this matter? Well, increased contamination levels can lead to material streams that don't meet the stringent quality standards required by reprocessors. This means they might not be purchased, impacting both economic and environmental goals.
