🎉 That's a wrap on 2024! Last night, we held our final board meeting of the year, celebrating an incredible 15th year of Pedal the Cause and looking ahead to the exciting years to come. We also officially voted in new Board President David Yonce of Spire! Congrats, David! Afterward, we enjoyed a wonderful celebration at Cafe Napoli, complete with much-needed food, drinks and good company.💙 ✨ A special thank you to Teri Griege and Brian Ashworth for 13 incredible years of board service, and to Emily Callahan of Stifel Financial Corp. for her 6 years of board service as they transition off the BOD. And a huge thank you to Bill Timmons of Bank of America for 3 remarkable years of leadership as Board President. We are beyond grateful and proud to have each of you as cherished members of our Pedal Family!

When you do the right things sometimes you get immediate feedback loops and reinforcement. Many founders just focus on metrics and PMF and growth. But getting the culture right is so important as it impacts the organization at a deeper level and gets to the root of what drives performance and results. When we switched both companies from sales mode (what can we sell to you? What can we get from you? Eg taking) to service mode (what can we do for you? How can we help you? How can we serve you? Eg giving) we saw pretty immediate positive results. In fact when we did our weekly review there were 45 minutes of good things to talk about (existing customers, positive feedback, repeat usage, new customers, exciting leads, product and engineering developments and breakthroughs, new hires) and we were hard pressed to fill in the what could have gone better section. The other week we held a Christian founders event and orphanage fundraiser in San Francisco and we raised over $100k in a mix of immediate cash donations as well as future recurring commitments. I can tell you there hasn’t been a single bad day since. Every day there has been some good news, even today waking up on a Saturday. Imagine waking up every day wondering what good thing is going to happen today, what magic will we see today? That’s how life should be! If you want good luck and magic and good news every day, you have to understand the source of where it comes from. It is not the roll of a dice. You have to fight for it, for ✝️

It is odd to think about your chorus/chapter as a non-profit organization, BUT, that is exactly what you are… An organization that is making a difference in the lives of your members and local communities (like so many other local and national non-profits). To help take your chapter to the next level, the Barbershop Harmony Society is hosting THE BIG LEAP. This interactive event will provide easy-to-implement tools to help you meet and measure your chapter's goals, develop necessary skills, and make a direct impact in your local community! This event will NOT be a “lecture-based” event. This will be engaging and interactive so you can ask questions, have meaningful conversations, and work on your customized “playbook” to improve your chapter! 📅IMPORTANT: HOTEL ROOM RATES EXPIRE NOVEMBER 4th, SO DO NOT DELAY! Listen as Joe Cerutti provides an overview of the event: https://lnkd.in/eYie3DEy

This document is a deep dive into Bicycle Collective's impact, programming, people, and finances for the past year. Producing the report is always a challenging yet gratifying process, because it allows our staff time to reflect back on the impact we have made in the communities we serve, the programming we have delivered, the bikes we have received as donations, and the smiles we have delivered to those most in need of a bicycle to help them get to work, school, or just get outside for a little exercise. Although the document looks back at the preceding year, it also helps us fine tune our focus on the future. What can we say about 2023 that hasn’t already been said? It was a big year of realizing long term dreams and goals, especially when we rolled open the doors in late November of our New Hub on 325 West and 900 South in Salt Lake City. As an organization, we still managed to maintain our measurable impacts across the state. No boring stuff in this report. We hope you will take a look and see what is possible when a collective group of passionate people join hands. https://lnkd.in/gnh-XsMs
We are proud to share our 2023 Annual Report, which looks back on a transformational year for Bicycle Collective. With profound measurable impacts in the communities we serve across the state of Utah, to building and opening our New Hub on 325 West 900 South in SLC, to another year of pulling off Bike Prom, we are grateful for all the staff, board members, volunteers, and clients who helped make this happen. https://lnkd.in/ggq3pFdQ

If the PGA of America sells the Ryder Cup to create an endowment fund to ensure the PGA of America will operate long into the future, here's the chain of events: 1. Throw a big party for PGA of America Officials, Administrators, and Staff. 2. Give 20% raises to all PGA of America Officials, Administrators and Staff. 3. Create a new "National Grow the Game Program" that ---their data---indicates will double the income of all PGA Members. 4. A meeting among PGA of America Officials, Administrators, and Staff to tell each other what a great job they are doing serving PGA Members and Growing the Game. 5. Sell the PGA Championship to cover short fall on moving PGA Headquarters from Frisco, Texas back to Palm Beach County, Florida. 6. Elon Musk is named new CEO of PGA of America. (Seth Waugh and AOC are hired as consultants)
