A great event that we were proud to bring to life on behalf of Solve Property Group in conjunction with Leda Holdings and Intrapac Property. The Northern Rivers Housing Forum was more than just a thought-provoking discussion. With keynote by Bernard Salt AM, commentary by Gary White and a stellar panel giving a localised perspective, the event was a critical first step in addressing the need for change and designing a real future for the Northern Rivers. A terrific job by Brendan Nelson GAICD RPIA (Fellow) on hosting the day with the utmost professionalism. #PDPR #PropertyPR #Events #NorthernRivers #HousingForum
Yesterday Solve Property Group hosted the Northern Rivers Housing Forum. We set out to facilitate a meaningful and evidence-based discussion on the housing crisis facing the Northern Rivers region. It was an insightful forum where diverse views were shared from a number of stakeholders. One thing was very clear, all are united in the belief that the challenge is significant and it’s time to take collective action on finding solutions. Thank you to all of our attendees who made the event a success. We were honoured to host our keynote speaker Bernard Salt AM, social commentator and arguably Australia’s leading futurist. Bernard shared compelling insights, clearly building the case that the region will continue to grow and require supporting infrastructure and housing solutions. Australia’s ongoing obsession with lifestyle will fuel growth in the region, and he challenged us to boldly reimagine the concept of Seachange in designing a future for the Northern Rivers. Thank you Bernard for sharing your perspective and we look forward to continuing to collaborate with you. Thank you to our Chief Planner Gary White, who passionately advocated for a strategic plan that tells a story for the future of the region, one that protects its unique qualities while also addressing the need for change. Thank you also to our panel of speakers who joined Bernard and Gary, including Cr Chris Cherry, Mayor of Tweed Shire Council; Cr Michael Lyon, Mayor of Byron Shire Council; Cr Sharon Cadwallader, Mayor of Ballina Shire Council; and Maxwell Shifman, CEO of Intrapac Property. Your local perspectives demonstrated the complexity of the housing challenge. A special mention and thank you to Brendan Nelson GAICD RPIA (Fellow) for chairing the event and facilitating such a thought provoking session. Finally, I’d like to extend a huge thank you to our corporate partners Leda Holdings and Intrapac Property who made the forum possible, and the team at PDPR Marketing and Creative for bringing the event to life. Watch this space as we continue to explore our findings and work towards a solution!
