Part 2: Error Correction in Online Lessons In online teaching, breakout rooms are a game-changer for student-centered lessons. Here’s my approach: I start by explaining the task to the whole class. Then, I divide students into breakout rooms to discuss in small groups. While they talk, I quietly join each room, staying on mute to observe and note any errors. After their discussions, I bring everyone back to the main session. Instead of asking about their answers, I address the common mistakes I noticed, making sure not to single out any student. With these corrections in mind, I send them back to their breakout rooms to revise the task. Finally, students return and confidently present their improved work to me. This method helps them learn from their mistakes and encourages collaboration and active engagement. #onlineteaching #teachertraining
