Supporting the All Blacks over the Springboks can be seen as more patriotic for a coloured, black, or African individual because it rejects the historical association of the Springboks with apartheid and white supremacy. During apartheid, the All Blacks faced sanctions and backlash for touring South Africa, including: - The 1976 All Blacks tour was met with international protests and boycotts - The 1981 All Blacks tour sparked the famous Flour Bomb protest in New Zealand - The International Rugby Board (IRB) imposed sanctions on South African rugby in 1984 By supporting the All Blacks, individuals acknowledge this history and the team's stance against apartheid. In contrast, supporting the Springboks can be seen as condoning or ignoring this painful history. Choosing the All Blacks is a declaration of independence from apartheid's legacy, making it a more patriotic act.

Today, we commemorate Patriot Day, a solemn occasion to honor and remember the victims of the tragic September 11th attacks and pay our respects to the heroes who responded selflessly. I am humbled by the support of my efforts to participate and honor the brave men and women who served our great nation, first responders, and firefighters. To date, we have raised $3,675 towards our $5,000 goal. Any support would be greatly appreciated and all proceeds go directly to Navy SEAL Foundation. What your support could mean: 1. $500 could fund travel for a wounded Seal or SWCC in need of specialized care for their return to duty. 2. $250 could provide graduate-level test prep assistance for a transitioning Seal or SWCC. 3. $150 could fund one session of grief counseling for a Gold Star family member. 4. $100 could pay for a physical rehabilitation session for a Seal or SWCC 5. $50 could cover two hours of Respite Child Care for one family of a deployed service member. 6. $25 could provide one meal for a Command Memorial. 7. $10 could fund 1 water bottle for a NWS kid at Summer Camp.
